Mary Anne Liam

is a children’s book author, illustrator, teacher and graphic designer from Norway. She lives just outside the capital Oslo, in a village on a peninsula together with her spouse, their son, and a playful cat who often inspires her stories.
As a child, Mary Anne loved daydreaming and had a wild imagination, though school was sometimes a challenge. Later in life she discovered that her uniqueness, being a sensitive girl with ADHD, was also a strength. Today, she channels her creativity into stories and watercolor illustrations that make kids laugh, think, and embrace their individuality.
Mary Anne studied graphic communication in England, and storytelling, languages and teaching in Norway. Her debut book, The Witch, the Fart and the Magic Portal, is a celebration of humor, kindness, and the magic of being yourself. It is the first book in the series called The Whimsy Adventures of Trudy.
